In brief 9 we were told to create a unique christmas card for one of the selected professions provided. I chose the company which makes the car fresheners, and came up with the idea of replacing a normal christmas tree with a giant old pine car freshener.

In brief 8 we were told that we would be picking from a selection of companys and we would have to create ambiant media to promote that business and the london 2012 olympics. I decided to use Gillete as the company and came up with the idea of the razor shaving out a running track over buildings and landmarks for example i had a razor carving out a running track on the White Cliffs of Dover.

In brief 7 we were told that we had to use better typography
in our work and the brief was that we had a list of many different words and we
had to change the words with just the typography to make the word look like the
saying, for example if the word was fuzzy I would make the typography fuzzy and
hard to read.

In brief 6 we were given the task of creating a story using
just 3 images and had to consist of, Establish – Cause and Effec9t. At first i
came up with several ideas one being, Establish (Children) – Cause (Sweets) and
Effect (Gary Glitter). I didn’t use the idea as my final one however I found
out recently that a woman divorced her husband because he spent too much time
on football manager so i came up with the idea of Establish (Marriage) – Cause (Football
Manager 2012) and the Effect (Divorce).

In brief 5 we were the given the opportunity to find a
headline of our choice and change the image to make it look like something
else, for example there was an article which said BIG MAC and had the image of
Lee Mac the golfer. However I thought about changing the image to a BIG MAC
burger from McDonalds. In the end I found an article which said “the first
footsteps” which was about our first footsteps on the moon and I changed the
image to a baby’s first footsteps.

In brief 4 we were given the task of creating a campaign poster/banner/protest
board for a chosen campaign. I decided to choose the campaign about getting rid
of plastic bags. I came across an article which said that Bangladesh banned
plastic bags because it was one of the main reasons that the city was flooded
so I came up with the idea of having BAN THE BAG on a protest and the sign
almost look like the print you would have on a plastic bag.

In brief 3 we were told to create a visual letter from one
person to another or a company to a person and so on. It took me a while to
think of ideas for this brief as I couldn’t figure out any good ideas. I then
thought of doing Apple and Windows. As Windows computers always seem to be
getting viruses and Apple computers do not I came up with the idea that an
Apple should almost be looking after windows, almost like a nurse looking after
a patient.
